RAL Display help us stand out

A huge thank you to RAL Display for providing us with a new banner for us to use at events and exhibitions. When we contacted Leicester based, RAL Display about ordering a new display banner they very kindly offered to donate one free of charge. As a charity that aims to keep running costs to a minimum their donation makes a big difference and is really appreciated. Thank you RAL Display.

Two pupils from Netherbrook Primary School  have been working  hard to fundraise for Sea-Changers and have raised a fantastic £92.30. Caden Jones (aged 11) and Keira Dimmock (aged 10) produced some brilliant bookmarks and bracelets which they sold to family and schools friends. Caden got in touch with Sea-Changers last year as he wanted to help the seas. He is a real marine enthusiast. Working with Keira, they have been a great team.

Sea-Changers Co-Founder, Helen Webb said “Caden and Keira have done a wonderful job of raising funds for Sea-Changers. A huge thank you to them both and, to family, friends and Netherbrook Primary School, who all supported their efforts”

Pure Latitude Supporting Sea-Changers

Pure Latitude, the popular boat club, has signed up to contribute to UK marine conservation activities by supporting  Sea-Changers. Pure Latitude will include an optional donation to Sea-Changers when asking for membership fees, allowing club members to give something back to protect the oceans they enjoy as members of the club. The money will feed into Sea-Changers’ grant fund which is distributed to UK based marine conservation projects. Read more by clicking below.

We are thrilled to announce a new grant stream which will sit along side our Sea-Changers Grant Programme - A Marine Litter Fund. This will run throughout 2018 and was made possible by a fantastic donation to Sea-Changers by the Gardeners Trust. In addition, Sea-Changers has recently reviewed our existing grants policy and application process. Full details of this can be found here.

The Marine Litter Fund has the following objectives:

  • To address the root causes of marine litter in the UK.
  • To prevent or reduce marine litter impacting on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
  • To add to the body of knowledge about the nature and impact of marine litter in the UK.

Approximately 60% of this funding will support projects in Scotland with 40% going elsewhere in UK. Evaluation criteria will be the same as for the main grant fund.
