Need A New T?

It's hot, sunny and you need a new T shirt to wear down to the beach. Check out the Surf T Shirt produced by Invisible Friend,  an independent clothing & design label based in Devon. Every T shirt sold raises £2 for UK Seas through a donation to Sea-Changers. To get hold of this summers 'must have' T shirt click on the T picture.

A-Plan Insurance has formed a partnership with Sea-Changers. Their specialist marine insurance team will be distributing information to clients telling them about Sea-Changers’ work and asking them if they would like to donate, thereby giving something back to the environment they value and enjoy.

Two pupils from Netherbrook Primary School  have been working  hard to fundraise for Sea-Changers and have raised a fantastic £92.30. Caden Jones (aged 11) and Keira Dimmock (aged 10) produced some brilliant bookmarks and bracelets which they sold to family and schools friends. Caden got in touch with Sea-Changers last year as he wanted to help the seas. He is a real marine enthusiast. Working with Keira, they have been a great team.

Sea-Changers Co-Founder, Helen Webb said “Caden and Keira have done a wonderful job of raising funds for Sea-Changers. A huge thank you to them both and, to family, friends and Netherbrook Primary School, who all supported their efforts”

RAL Display help us stand out

A huge thank you to RAL Display for providing us with a new banner for us to use at events and exhibitions. When we contacted Leicester based, RAL Display about ordering a new display banner they very kindly offered to donate one free of charge. As a charity that aims to keep running costs to a minimum their donation makes a big difference and is really appreciated. Thank you RAL Display.

We are thrilled to announce a new grant stream which will sit along side our Sea-Changers Grant Programme - A Marine Litter Fund. This will run throughout 2018 and was made possible by a fantastic donation to Sea-Changers by the Gardeners Trust. In addition, Sea-Changers has recently reviewed our existing grants policy and application process. Full details of this can be found here.

The Marine Litter Fund has the following objectives:

  • To address the root causes of marine litter in the UK.
  • To prevent or reduce marine litter impacting on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
  • To add to the body of knowledge about the nature and impact of marine litter in the UK.

Approximately 60% of this funding will support projects in Scotland with 40% going elsewhere in UK. Evaluation criteria will be the same as for the main grant fund.
