We are thrilled to announce a new grant stream which will sit along side our Sea-Changers Grant Programme - A Marine Litter Fund. This will run throughout 2018 and was made possible by a fantastic donation to Sea-Changers by the Gardeners Trust. In addition, Sea-Changers has recently reviewed our existing grants policy and application process. Full details of this can be found here.

The Marine Litter Fund has the following objectives:

  • To address the root causes of marine litter in the UK.
  • To prevent or reduce marine litter impacting on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
  • To add to the body of knowledge about the nature and impact of marine litter in the UK.

Approximately 60% of this funding will support projects in Scotland with 40% going elsewhere in UK. Evaluation criteria will be the same as for the main grant fund.

Pure Latitude Supporting Sea-Changers

Pure Latitude, the popular boat club, has signed up to contribute to UK marine conservation activities by supporting  Sea-Changers. Pure Latitude will include an optional donation to Sea-Changers when asking for membership fees, allowing club members to give something back to protect the oceans they enjoy as members of the club. The money will feed into Sea-Changers’ grant fund which is distributed to UK based marine conservation projects.
