Sea-Changers Innovation Fund 2022

We are excited to announce that our 2022 Innovation Fund is now open for applications.

The fund's unique emphasis is on supporting ideas that are new and/or experimental solutions in the field of marine conservation.

In 2022, the Innovation Fund totals £30,000.  The fund will be split as follows:

  • £10,000 will be awarded to projects based in / taking place in Scotland – supported by The William Grant Foundation

  • £10,000 will be awarded to projects that are aimed at preventing or addressing the issue of plastics in the marine environment, anywhere in the UK – supported by LIGA.

  • The remaining £10,000 is for projects anywhere in the UK in any area of marine conservation innovation. 

We welcome applications from all types of organisations, including not-for-profits,  companies and education institutions, which have an idea or a project they believe is a genuinely new and untested solution to the UK's marine conservation challenges.

The closing date for applications is 18th September 2022. 

 How to apply for the 2022 Innovation Fund 

  • Please read the Sea-Changers Innovation Fund Application Guidelines before applying​​. They'll help you decide if your project is eligible and whether you're likely to be in a position to make a successful application.

  • Complete the Sea-Changers Innovation Fund Application Form. Use the guidelines document to help you. 

  • Return the application form to info@sea-changers.org.uk. The closing date is 18th September 2022. You will receive an acknowledgement of your application indicating our timescales for letting you know the outcome.

  • When the grant panel has made their final decision, we will write to you and inform you of the outcome of your application.
