Reminder - the Coastal Fountain Fund 2026 is open - apply by 28th Feb
Just a reminder that Sea-Changers Coastal Fountain Fund is open to applicants who want to install a water bottle refill station in a busy or environmentally important coastal location. Since the fund began we have enabled 49 fountains to be installed over the UK and are looking forward fund more in 2026. The fund aims to protect coastal habitats from the harmful effects of single-use plastic water bottles by supporting communities to purchase water refill fountains for busy


Our First Ever 'Step Up Fund' Recipients Announced
We created our new Step Up Fund to back projects that have already proven their value for UK seas and communities, but now need a bigger boost to reach their full potential. Over the years we have supported more than 500 marine conservation projects. Our grants of up to £2,500 th rough our Main Grants fund have often been truly transformational. We were, for example, one of t he very first funders of Project Seagrass back in 2014, before they were even a registered charity.


A New Wave of Innovation
The Sea-Changers Innovation Fund has been an amazing success in 2025. From detection dogs being trained to sniff out invasive species; to the use of AI and drone technology for conservation purposes, and vital pioneering research into threatened populations, this has been our biggest round of Innovation projects to date. Launched at the start of the year with around £30,000 in initial funding, the scheme inspired an overwhelming response: 50 applications, far exceeding our a
