Our founders, Helen Webb MBE and Rachel Lopata MBE are excited to be plenary speakers at the Society for Conservation Biology-Global Marine Program 8th Internation Marine Conservation Congress which will take place November 13-17th 2026, in Edinburgh. The event is organized by the Society for Conservation Biology’s Global Marine Program and is a leading international forum for advancing marine conservation science and practice.

Helen and Rachel will be on a panel titled 'Small Grants - Big Impact' which is a perfect fit for Sea-Changers and the work we do. For the past 15 years our funding of over 600 UK marine projects has often been the catalyst that enables communitities to implement impactful and lasting marine conservation initiatives. So it is great to be a part of this interactive panel which will explore 'how small grants support locally led initiatives, create pathways for projects to grow, and complement larger conservation investments.'

Rachel and Helen will be around at the conference from the 14 - 16th of November and they would be very happy to chat to any UK marine conservation projects that are interested in applying for Sea-Changers funding. They would also love to chat to other funders who could help our grant programmes acheive even more going forward.

If you are attending the conference and woudl like to meet up with Helen and Rachel do check the #IMCC8 app.
