If you are planning a marine conservation project, you may be eligible to apply for a grant from Sea-Changers.
We give out a number of small grants (generally between £600 and £1,200) twice a year, often supporting grassroots and community based projects. The projects funded will achieve one or more of the following objectives:
To address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
To prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
To add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
In this grant round we have new funding available - The Tackling Ocean Plastics Fund. This funding stream aims to address the increasing problem of plastics that are damaging the marine environment and the species that call it home. The new fund is supported by Extrême ice cream as part of its response to the plastic challenge.
The latest application round is currently open with a closing date of 30th of September 2021. The application process is very straightforward and to find out more and apply please click here.
