Sea-Changers is delighted to have agreed a new joint partnership with Oasis and Ecosurety to launch the Source to Sea Programme 2026.

Ecosurety leads the way in providing a packaging EPR compliance scheme and has recently acquired ownership of the Refill Return App. This free app connects people with places to eat, drink and shop with less packaging waste. Included in the App is a map listing all the Refill Stations across the UK, a number of which, Sea-Changers has already funded.

OASIS is a global manufacturer of hydration equipment supplying drinking water equipment for a range of settings both indoors and outdoors. Over the past 100 years they have provided ‘Water Where You Need It’. They are donating 5 water fountains (plus delivery and installation at eligible locations) free of charge for the Source to Sea Programme 2026.

The purpose of the Source to Sea Programme is to provide community drinking-water fountains to help reduce single-use plastic and protect waterways, coasts and oceans in suitable locations across the United Kingdom. Applicants can apply from anywhere in the UK although locations near coasts or estuaries will receive priority. Applications in inland locations will also be considered where they demonstrate a clear contribution to reducing single-use plastic and protecting waterways, coasts or oceans.

Applications are welcome from all types of not-for-profit organisations who have identified a need and are well-placed to build the stakeholder involvement needed to make their water fountain installation plans a success.

The Sea-Changers Source to Sea Programme is supported by Oasis and Ecosurety.

Richard Marriot, Head of Reuse at Ecosurety said:

"We're delighted to be partnering with Sea-Changers and Oasis to expand access to free drinking water across the UK. The Refill Return App has helped millions of people reduce their reliance on single-use packaging by making existing refill locations easy to find. This partnership takes that mission a step further by increasing refill infrastructure itself, making reuse an even easier choice for more people."

Will Shaw, Sales Manager UK, Oasis said:

“We’re really proud to be partnering with Sea-Changers and Ecosurety to make refilling more accessible across the UK. Providing easy access to drinking water is at the heart of what we do at Oasis, so this partnership feels like a natural fit. Through the Source to Sea Programme, we’re excited to help bring bottle filling stations into local communities, giving more people the opportunity to refill and helping reduce our reliance on single-use plastic.”

Helen Webb MBE, Co-Founder of Sea-Changers said:

"It’s great to start this new joint partnership with Ecosurety and Oasis. We have worked very successfully with Ecosurety since 2025 to provide a bespoke programme of Eco-Refill shops in schools. This new programme builds on the purpose of this programme to reduce plastic waste and change people’s behaviours and thinking around plastic use. Alongside them we welcome a new relationship with Oasis who are donating five water fountains through this programme. We know from our previous experience in supporting the installation of water fountains around the UK’s coasts that this action can have a big impact in reducing plastic pollution and on people’s behaviours. Making filling up a water bottle an easy choice, means a drastic reduction in single use plastic bottles.”

The closing date for applications is 18th of December 2026 and full details of the Source to Sea Programme can be found here.
