Eight new coastal water bottle refill stations installed in 2025

Plastic bottles remain one of the most common types of litter at our beaches and coastal areas. To help people make the choice to refill instead of buying bottled water, we collaborate with Bunzl, who sponsor our Coastal Fountain Fund. The fund enables communities to purchase water refill fountains for busy or environmentally significant coastal areas.

We've funded a further eight fountains in 2025 bringing the total installed across the UK to 48 - all thanks to BUNZL's ongoing support with the fund is now in its sixth year.

These new fountains will give even more coastal residents and visitors the opportunity to refill their bottles and reduce single-use plastic waste. With each new fountain, we take another step towards cleaner coastlines- and long may that continue!
