Here at Sea-Changers, we are a volunteer-led organisation and rely heavily on a small team of wonderful, generous people who give up their spare time to support the work we do.  We are sharing with you some volunteer spotlights to introduce some of our hard working team.

This month's volunteer spotlight highlights Lesley Fitt, our South West Regional Rep! For over a decade, Lesley has brought her passion, energy, and dedication to Sea-Changers, helping to drive forward our mission to protect the UK’s marine environment.

In her role, she focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with our valued corporate partners, while also liaising directly with the incredible grassroots projects we fund.

No two weeks look the same: she might be attending networking events, supporting projects on the ground, joining talks, or keeping up with the fast-moving world of marine conservation.

As a passionate sailor, diver, kayaker, and swimmer, Lesley has witnessed first hand the damage caused by human activity in our seas, from plastic pollution to habitat destruction.

Volunteering with Sea-Changers gives her a deep sense of purpose, knowing that real, local action can lead to meaningful change. When she’s not making waves in marine conservation, Lesley’s favourite beaches to visit include Gwithian, Sanna Bay, and Shell Beach.

Although it’s harder to pick a favourite species, she just loves them all, from the tiniest seahorse to the mighty blue whale.

So on behalf of the whole team, a heartfelt thank you, Lesley for all of your hard work and passion over the last decade! You really are a super sea changer
