Sea-Changers is delighted to announce the appointment of Cheryl Nicholson as Executive Director of Sea-Changers.

Cheryl joins us with over 17 years of experience in conservation, strategic development and fundraising, including co-founding the Nature Friendly Farming Network and participating in the Irish Sea Marine Conservation Zone process while working as Marine Conservation Manager for The Wildlife Trusts. She has a lifelong passion for marine conservation and holds an MSc in Marine Biology. She was drawn to Sea-Changers because of our unique role in enabling practical, grassroots marine conservation action across the UK.

Cheryl said: “I’m incredibly excited by the opportunity to help lead Sea-Changers into its next stage of growth and to be part of an organisation that makes such a positive difference for the marine environment. Working with our fantastic network of volunteers, I’m confident the charity will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Helen Webb MBE, Co-Founder of Sea-Changers said: ‘This is an extremely exciting time in Sea-Changers' history where we have the opportunity to sustain the mission and impact of Sea-Changers for many years to come. Cheryl is an amazing addition to our already extraordinary team of founders, trustees and volunteers and we are so excited about working with her as she leads us into the next stage of our development, achieving greater impact for the UK’s seas and shores.”
