In 2016, Sea-Changers gave a grant to Exe Estaury Partnership to help establish the 'Friends of the Exe Estuary' group. This group aimed to enable volunteers from local communities to be more involved with this special area, and help to increase their and our understanding of the wildlife, ecology and use of the estuary and ultimately help us to protect it. The EEMP now organises various Clean-Up events around the Exe Estuary, mainly two large-scale events every year – one in spring and one in autumn.
