ddipp® joins our community of fundraising partners

ddipp (ddipp.me) was started by Mark, Melissa and Matt in 2020, during the Covid19 pandemic. Not an ideal time to start a new business, but that year did remind everybody about what is really important… spending time doing the things we love with other people, with a clear conscience. The huge growth of sports such as Open Water swimming and Paddle-boarding just shows how we yearn to get outdoors and have fun! The team at ddipp® saw an opportunity for an outdoor brand who place innovation, quality and ethics at the heart of design, and so started developing their first product, the Sea Monster coat. The Sea Monster is a designed-from-scratch alternative to other outdoor changing robes, offering practical and ethical innovations for watersports lovers.

As an integral part of their goal to provide ethical, high quality products that are made to last - with a minimal footprint, ddipp® is donating a minimum of £1,000 to Sea-Changers in 2022. In fact, for every Sea Monster changing coat sold they will donate £1, so they hope very much that their donations will go beyond this minimum amount!

This funding will feed directly into Sea-Changers’ Main Grants Fund. This fund addresses the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK and supports practical solutions to the negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and/or species. In 2021 this fund supported a wide range of projects with a particular focus on ocean plastics and education. The deadline for the next Main Grants Fund Application process is March 31st 2022.

Rachel Lopata, Co-Founder of Sea-Changers said: "We are excited to be partnering with ddipp®. This is a young British company that from the start wants to make a positive difference to the environment that their customers enjoy. Their commitment to give something back to the environment means we can increase the impact of our grants programme and support more vital conservation projects in 2022."

Mark Whybrow, Co-Founder of ddipp® said, "Our mission is to offer top performance and design in active-wear clothing, without sacrificing ethics. At every stage of our design, sourcing and production we pursue sustainable solutions. We aim to do the right thing, and make worthwhile products. From the start, we have looked for a partner who shares our values, and it is great to agree this partnership with Sea-Changers, it is great to think that the more Sea Monsters we sell, the more we can support vital UK marine conservation work."
