2017 - Grant Awarded - £555

Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA) are delighted to have been funded by Sea Changers to run ten weekend practical projects throughout 2017/2018 with the aim of informing members of the public from the Plymouth area and surrounds about the importance of marine ecosystems and marine conservation. The ten projects will be made up of an exciting programme of beach cleans and litter analysis followed by an afternoon activity based around surveying coastal and intertidal habitats. These will be led by our Volunteer Project Officers who are studying marine science courses locally. Biological records collected during the activities would be input through the Capturing our Coast Project contributing to species distribution data for the UK.

We aim to introduce marine conservation volunteering to at least 100 new volunteers with at least 150 returning volunteers! Find out how to book onto one of these events via
