Diver Magazine's October issue asked readers to answer the question:

'Sea-Changers wants divers to pay £1 per dive towards marine conservation. Is this a good idea?'
...and 64% of respondents thought it was.

Feedback shows there was suspicion on all sides that money collected would directly go  to good causes rather than administration (100% of money donated to Sea-Changers via Sea-Changers businesses and our text line goes  directly to marine conservation projects in the UK). There was also a belief that donations should be optional with contributions from other water users too and not just divers. We agree and that is why we are forming links with businesses from across the marine sector including surfing, sailing and cruising.

So if you think £1 is a small price to pay to make a big difference to UK seas and shores Text SEAS10£1 to 70070 today or donate via our donate page. For more information on this story read Diver Magazine November issue.
