Sea-Changers is delighted to announce that writer, journalist, marine campaigner, dive-fisherman and owner of the Ethical Shellfish Company Guy Grieve has agreed to be one of its patrons. Guy will work with Sea-Changers to help promote its activities, heighten the profile of their fundraising model and recruit support amongst its core audiences of UK marine businesses and their customers, who are active in or on the sea. Guy’s appointment follows that of Maya Plass who has been working as a Sea-Changer patron since May.

Guy GrieveFounder of Sea-Changers Rachel Lopata said: “We are delighted and proud to have Guy working with us. He is an individual who has demonstrated through his own Ethical Shellfish Company that business enterprise and concern for the seas can successfully complement one another. His passion for preserving the marine environment is infectious and uncompromising and we know that Guy can help us to spread the word that the UK marine environment urgently requires protection and conservation. We are thrilled to welcome Guy to our team of ambassadors that will help us spread our message.”

Guy said: "I am very excited to be joining Sea-Changers. I have been concerned for a long time about the damage being done by mobile fishing to the health of our shallow in-shore waters and the Ethical Shellfish Company seeks to show that things can be done differently. I care passionately about the health of our seas and it is fantastic to find people who want to do something to support marine conservation in the UK. I hope many more will become involved through the great work of Sea-Changers.”
