On the 19th and 20th of March, family, friends and supporters of Sea-Changers took part in a range of events to raise funds for Sea-Changers start-up costs. Events included: cakes sales, a marathon beach tidy and a sponsored cycle ride. Sea-Changers fans Oliver Young (aged 10) and Henry Young (aged 6) took part in the sponsored cycle event and completed a fantastic 17.5 miles at Pitsford, Northamptonshire. Oliver said afterwards “I really enjoyed the ride but it felt like a long way! I think Sea-Changers is a great idea, Henry added: ”The cycle was brilliant, I’m really proud”

Sea-Changers does not use a single penny collected via its’ opt out model for its running costs, instead donating this to marine conservation projects based within the UK. All money collected through the fundraising weekend will contribute towards the administration and running costs of Sea-Changers in their first few months of operation.
A very big thank you to all those who took part or sponsored the different events.
