Liverpool World Oceans Day

The aim of World Oceans Day was to educate the public and promote awareness about the marine environment. 

Liverpool World Oceans Day 2013 had activities for the whole family including touch tanks, fishing games, prize give-aways, face painting, treasure hunts and much more. People came from all over the north west and learnt about local dolphin and whale watching, sustainable food labelling, the types of sharks you kind find around the U.K, how you can do your bit to protect our oceans and even information on marine protected areas.
